Vertical Optimization, LLC, was born out of a deep sense of frustration - and a palpable fear of failure. The year was 2004. I had just moved from the U.S. to Nigeria to start a new manufacturing company, Aquada Development Corporation. Aquada was formed to transform low value agricultural produce into high-value shelf-stable products - for domestic consumption.

Our firm specializes in three principal sectors - wholesome food processing, sustainable materials production, and green energy generation (including waste remediation and carbon recovery platforms).
Given our focus on emerging economies, our work tends to be interdisciplinary, involving not only the development (or enhancement) of technical capacity, but also the enhancement of supportive productive capacity (social and communal structures, human capital, etc.) needed for the sustainable operation of those industrial processes. We have four principal practice offerings, staffed by highly trained and experienced scientists, engineers, social scientists and business development professionals.

Export Path™ is the trade development service managed by Vertical Optimization, LLC. At Export Path™, we provide services to entrepreneurs seeking to conduct business in or from emerging markets.
Our inbound services help businesses in emerging markets develop AND export their products and services to the U.S. & Canadian markets, while our outbound services assist U.S., Canadian, and European-based businesses to develop and export their goods (or services) to the emerging markets we serve. Our principal emerging markets are Anglophone Africa, North Africa, Central and South America.
